What are your thoughts on HTML code? Did you enjoy the coding activity? Do you feel like you learned anything? Explain yourself.

The HTML activity that we did was different from what I thought we would be doing in this class. I thought it was pretty cool and it made me feel really smart typing in all of the coding and stuff. So, yes, I did enjoy the coding activity, and found it helpful as well, because I think that I learned a lot. Specifically, I feel like I learned the <p> type of things and then how to close them off. Overall, it was a good activity to introduce the coding.

Tell me about your three day weekend. How was it? What did you do? Elaborate!

To me, the weekend went a lot faster than it should have. Getting out early on Friday was fun because I had one of my friends over after school. Saturday was the slowest day, because all I did was sleep and watch t.v. The best part about the weekend was going to a volleyball sleepover with my team. It was really enjoyable. First, we went bowling and I got second place out of everyone! We then went back to one of the girl's house and  played ping pong and ate food. After that, we watched two movies, although no one was really watching, we were talking. The next morning, about half the team had to leave early so the other half stayed and played wii until we had to leave. Overall, the weekend was exciting and fun

Tell me if you agree with this statement and then why or why not. "Images on the internet are 'free game' - if someone posted it, I should be able to use it."

 I think that the statement is wrong and right at the same time. I would like to believe that people are good and that if a bad picture comes along then no one will use-that is not the case though. It is right because yes the poster did put it out for you to use it, and yes it was their choice. It is wrong because if the picture is something that the person could possibly want to take back, and you could tell, then it would be wrong. Overall, if I had to pick one side it would be wrong.

What do you know about plagiarism? What do you know about plagiarism on the internet? How do web design, the internet and plagiarism all effect each other? Explain.

I know a lot about plagiarism. I know that it has very extreme consequences when it is done. I also know that in college, you can get kicked out if you paper is plagiarized. Plagiarism on the internet, I assume, would be the the coping and pasting or using similar words of another website. Web design, the internet and plagiarism are all able to effect each other because the plagiarize on the internet these are the things that would be needed to be plagiarized. If one person were to be making a website about a factual topic they could take information from another website and not cite it.This would be called plagiarism.

What do you already know about web design? How it works? Programs you can use? Tools that exist? Anything.

I don't know a lot about web design, but I do know somethings can help from Emerging Tech. I have ideas of how it works. However, I may think that I know less than I think I do, because I think  that information is common sense. I have used other people's personally set-up webpages and I have seen a person start to set-up a website. I don't know many programs at the top of my head, but I do know one, weebly.  I don't know anything about the tools but I would think that the tools would be similar to blogger, and I an pretty comfortable and good at navigating at blogger.

Journal - Where are you right now on your "Who Do You Think You Are" project? What did you do over the break for the project? Did you interview anyone? Use the checklist below to figure out what you have finished, what you are still working on and what you still have to do.

In the project, I am about as far as the calender says. I am on track, I think. I am currently working on the prezi of the family tree. I have all of the circles done and names filled out, although I plan to put in the pictures today. I also have  the email, family echo, and interviews done, and I have briefly started the the infograph. Over the break I found the pictures for my prezi and scanned them into the computer and emailed them to myself. Over the next week, I plan to finish my family tree and my infographic.
